To commemorate our first open Hack Day event, Yahoo! Research scientist Cameron Marlow and I decided to make a time-lapse video of the 24-hour hack-a-thon. This is a view of Building C on our Sunnyvale campus, where all the mashup action happened. Watch carefully and you can see the Beck's staging set-up and tear-down in the upper left (along with the concert itself — don't blink). The music for the video was originally released on Cameron's label, Unlockedgroove.
You can watch a different angle here, with a closer view of the concert.
If you'd like to try this at home, we used an iSight camera, G4 Mac laptop and free software called Gawker. Here's a picture of the equipment setup on a balcony (glad it didn't rain).
