We are very excited to announce that Cybergeddon, a new digital blockbuster, is now live globally on Yahoo!. In a first for Yahoo!, we are launching in 25 countries and 10 languages.
What makes this project so special is the full immersive experience that Anthony and his team were confident Yahoo! could successfully offer. We’re not just featuring the chapters – we’re allowing viewers to further interact with the storyline and cast by watching additional clips that provide a deeper narrative with the characters. Viewers can also check out exclusive on-set photos, behind-the-scenes clips and interviews with the cast and crew. Additionally, the immersive site will host a special section where people can learn more about the stark realities of cybercrime, thanks to our partner, Norton by Symantec.
Cybergeddon was created by Anthony E. Zuiker, the visionary creator of CSI, which is the most popular television franchise in history. Anthony wanted to create a fictional story about the risks of a connected world that both entertains and educates users about staying safe online. He came to Yahoo! because of our unique ability to create a rich, multimedia experience around his content and bring it to a global audience at scale.
Cybergeddon is a 90-minute thriller in which federal agent Chloe Jocelyn (Missy Peregrym) has been framed and teams up with a group of agents and a "white hat" hacker to catch Gustov Dobreff (Olivier Martinez). We're releasing it in three days to allow our users to really immerse, as our consumers have told us they enjoy watching video marathon-style.
