Our lives are often filled with everyday wonders, both large and small, that delight us -- a smile, a sunset, or for a foodie like me, a delicious meal. And, it’s not surprising that our mobile phones have changed how we capture these moments. We're all making a daily habit out of sharing and discovering these beautiful moments with friends, family, and the world. Photography has clearly evolved, and so should we.
That’s why we’re excited to introduce a redesigned Flickr app for iPhone and iPod touch, making it easier than ever to capture, share, and discover beautiful photos -- all from the palm of your hand. This latest app also includes many of the best Flickr.com features, including editing and managing your photos, making them accessible wherever you are. Because we store your photos in full resolution, they’ll be crisp and clear even when you zoom in on the smallest details.
We built the app with sharing in mind -- whether by email, with the Flickr community, or your favorite social network. We’ve worked hard with our partners to make sure your pictures are displayed beautifully on Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr.
Because photography is also about inspiration, the Flickr app for iPhone and iPod touch lets you discover billions of interesting photos from around the world. Whether you’re vacationing in Tahiti or taking up painting, there are more than 1.6 million Flickr groups ready to inspire you.
With the global launch of our new app, we’ve also given Flickr.com a fresh coat of paint, redesigning the navigation, and updating our new Explore page to display even more photos in a beautiful new layout.
Just as a photo is a snapshot of a moment in time, these changes are a part of Flickr’s evolution. As we said earlier this year, we are committed to making Flickr everything you want and more. Keep telling us what you think - after all, we’re building Flickr just for you.
